Halldale is the only business serving and supporting the global training and simulation community, principally in the airline and defense sectors but with a focus on all safety critical enterprises.
Halldale’s purpose is to help individuals, teams and enterprises improve their performance through the latest training thinking and technology with an end goal of improved safety.
It does so by providing continual updates and information via an array of magazines, newsletters, discussion platforms, live and virtual events, working groups, awards programs and associated websites.
2023 marks the 40th year since the launch of MS&T Magazine for the defense community; the 33rd year of CAT Magazine and the 25th anniversary since the launch of WATS.
All programs are provided by a network of subject matter experts across the globe. Halldale Group has regional offices in Fleet, UK and Orlando, USA – the world center for simulation.
CAT magazine is the world’s only publication completely dedicated to airline training. Each issue typically has five or more major articles, industry news and analysis, reviews of recent events, an industry calendar and more. Key subjects include third-party training provision, CBT/WBT, visual systems, peripheral training curricula, ab initio training and sim technology in cabin, maintenance and pilot training. CAT has a unique international focus and has been supporting the global airline industry since 1990 by providing the most comprehensive reporting on training challenges and solutions.

MS&T Magazine has been continuously published since 1985. The editorial content of MS&T changes to keep up with operational needs, changing training requirements and the demands of maximizing the benefits of training technology. Hot topics for the future include air, land and sea unmanned vehicles training, games in training, mixed and augmented reality, human performance improvement, mission rehearsal from squad to squadron and soft skills – people and culture.

APATS delivers a focused, executive-level analysis of the Asia Pacific airline training and simulation market. This dynamic event provokes debate through engaging presentations and outstanding networking opportunities. It therefore, provides attendees with an exciting opportunity to share their experiences and question regional and global training experts. The event covers pilot training, cabin crew training and maintenance training. And in addition to the three conferences, the events hosts an exhibition and most importantly the APATS Heads of Training meeting.
Since its inception in 2006, APATS has been held in Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.

EATS explores European expertise in flight training and simulation with the added support of EASA. Most importantly the event provides a unique European perspective on civil aviation training and subsequently attracts the leading aviation training professionals from around the globe. In addition to the two conferences for pilot and cabin crew training, the event hosts an exhibition. Furthermore, the event hosts the annual EATS Heads of Training meeting, which allows attendees to learn and discuss the current and future rule-making with EASA’s Head of Aircrew Regulations Section.
EATS was first held in Stockholm in 2002, and in subsequent years has visited Frankfurt, Vienna, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Madrid, Warsaw and Istanbul.
WATS is the world’s largest gathering of aviation training professionals serving airlines, regulators, training providers and training industry with more than 1,200 expected from 50+ countries expected. WATS offers a relaxed yet professional environment conducive to developing new and building existing business relationships. WATS offers unrivalled opportunities to meet with your peers from the senior echelons of the international airline training community, to discuss the latest training issues and consider and learn how others have addressed and resolved these scenarios.
Launched in London in 1998, WATS visited various cities including Denver (1999), Frankfurt (2000), Atlanta (2001), Dallas (2002 & 2005), Montreal (2003), and Phoenix (2004), before settling in Orlando (2006 to date).

AAETS is an Official Event of the South Korea Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MoLIT) and Korea Airports Corporation (KAC). First held in 2015, the event is regarded as Korea’s leading conference and tradeshow for the international aviation training community.
As a result of the rapid evolution in training technology, there must be careful evaluation and selection of training processes in order to provide adapted training for new entrants and experienced operators alike. AAETS provides a forum to discuss these issue and learn about the best practical applications.
